My dream of becoming an herbalist came true in August, 2019. I received my certification as Clinical Herbal Therapist when I graduated from Dominion Herbal College in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
I have also received certificates in Foot Zone Therapy and homeopathy. I have taken classes in aromatherapy and use these modalities regularly. My favorite natural remedy source, however, is herbs. I always come back to the plants.
Nature inspires. Nature pleases the eye, calms the nerves, cleans the air and waters, and provides diversity upon the planet. Humans are a part of nature and we respond well to the nurturance nature provides.
Herbal medicine is a tradition that has been relied upon in all cultures from the beginning. Plant wisdom passed on from each generation to the next ensures that humanity is well cared for. Our current generation is fortunate to have access to plant wisdom from all cultures, their ancestors, as well as scientific research of why plants work so well.
Each plant is unique in its composition just as each human is unique in theirs. As a Clinical Herbal Therapist I have been trained in the art of taking a case, gathering information from physical examinations such as: pulse, blood pressure, lymph, eyes, ears, abdomen, breast, cardiovascular and respiratory systems and some neurologial exams. After I gather all the information, I skillfully combine herbs to the meet the needs of my client.
Herbs are ususally blended in tinctures (alcohol or glycerine/honey) or dried tea blends to be made into cold or hot infusions. Herbs can also be applied topically in the form of salves or balms or taken internally in powdered capsules.(02/2025)

Currently, I operate a small herbal office out of my home.
One of my clients shared:
"Rebecca (Becky) Murray has been a trusted wellness resource person for me and my family for the past ten years. Her certification as a Clinical Herbal Therapist expanded her expertise and tools, but she was already a compassionate, knowledgable natural health adviser. In a time when modern medicine appears focused on alleviation of symptoms, Becky is breath of fresh air as she interviews carefully and creates custom nutrient and supplement regimens. My perspective about health and health challenges is more positive and proactive because of her upbeat, expert approach to healing. And, I love how she is willing to teach what she knows. The confidence that comes with learning about the powerhouse foods and herbs growing in our own area is amazing."
